West Yorkshire Fellmongers is a long-established private company located in Bradford, England, and is wholly owned by the Byrne family. One of our sister companies was established over 130 years ago and holds the Royal Warrant for the supply of leather to H.M. The Queen at Buckingham Palace.
We have recently built a state of the art fellmongery and warehouse of over 120,000 square foot in Xinji, Hebei Province, China from which we can supply both raw sheepskins, contract fellmongering and wet-blueing services.
Sheepskins
The company is the UK’s largest supplier of selected Lambskins and Sheepskins and operates warehouses at strategic locations in the UK to meet customer demands. For many years the company has been a market leader in supplying high quality Double Face and Nappa Lambskins as well as Sheepskins worldwide. We handle over 120,000 Lambskins and Sheepskins weekly in the UK & Ireland.
As well as several depots in England we have four operations based at abattoirs, located in the Scottish Borders, Wales, South-West England and Ireland. This gives us control of our own selection and salting which ensures consistent quality and perfect condition.
Wools & Pelts
For more than 25 years the company has enjoyed the reputation of being a leading UK supplier of high quality pickled pelts and wool.
Greasy wool is sourced directly from UK farms and exported directly to overseas markets.
Hides are marketed through our specialist hide broker, Banks Byrne Ltd, also controlled by the Byrne Family.
Banks Byrne also market the hides of our own tannery, Holmes Halls (Processors) Ltd, who can supply Wet-Blue, Full Substance and Grain Split Hides.

Through our specialist operation in Cambridge we sell sheepskin garments and items for around the home to UK retailers and directly to the public.
