Greasy Skin Wool
Most of the wool from the nappa selection sheepskins is of coarse carpet wool quality.
Greasy Fleece Wool
Wool sourced through the British wool auctions comes from farm shorn sheep and varies in length and fineness. The annual production of UK greasy fleece wool is approximately 34 million kilos made up of approximately 70 wool types. This is sold entirely at monthly auctions and West Yorkshire Fellmongers are represented at every auction.
Washed Skin Wool
We are able to offer washed skin wool directly from the fellmongery, this is similar to the greasy skin wool except that it has undergone a washing process.
